Many countries require student flights and/or certain endorsements to be signed by the instructor. We always recommend that you periodically print out hard copies of your logbook from LogTen for safekeeping, and you have several options for managing signatures.
You can sign logbook entries and certificates with your finger right on your iPhone or iPad and the signatures will print in reports just like you'd expect. So your instructor, examiner, or captain can simply sign your electronic logbook digitally.
LogTen includes over 70 pre-loaded endorsements to make inputting new endorsements easy. Just tap 'More' > 'Certificates' > tap the '+' in the top right then tap in the 'Details' field and choose the endorsement you want to use.
You can then sign the flight and share it by tapping the Action button (three blue dots) in the top right of the endorsement screen and sign and share the endorsement via email, airdrop or text message.

Is there any way to request signatures by email?

It is possible to share flights between LogTen users. If the person you wanted to email also uses LogTen you can share the flight that needs to be signed, they can sign it, and they can then share it back with you. Email is one method of sharing. Where does the instructor sign on my app if they don't have the same app? For example, if I go out for training and the instructor needs to sign in the remarks section of a paper logbook, does he just do that in remarks on the app or is there someplace else? Thank you

To have an Instructor sign your flight, select the Action button (3 dots top-right) of the fight details page. You will see a sign flight option. Once the Instructor signs the flight, the entry is locked and no other edits can be made. The instructor signature will appear in the remarks of most logbook reports.
